With so many private photos on your iPhone, it’s sometimes downright awkward showing a few pictures to someone in case they start swiping left and right.
But there’s a way to avoid that in iOS 15. And no, not by deleting the photos; by literally hiding them! Yes, the Photos app on your iPhone now has a hidden folder where you can stash your most prized pictures away from prying eyes!
So here’s how you can hide your photos in a hidden folder on your iPhone.
How to hide your photos on iPhone or iPad
1. Open Photos app
2. Tap on the picture you want to hide
Note: If you want to hide more than one picture or video, tap Select from the top right corner and select multiple photos/videos.
3. Tap the Share button in the bottom left corner

4. Scroll down and tap on Hide

5. Tap Hide Photos. In case of videos, tap Hide Video.

After these steps, your Photos app will not display these pictures. To view them, you need to go to the Hidden album, which appears in the Albums tab under utilities.
But there’s a chance the Hidden folder isn’t available under utilities in the Photos app. In that case, you just have to enable it from Settings.
How to Enable and Disable Hidden Album feature on your iPhone and iPad
- Open Settings
- Scroll down and tap on Photos
- Scroll down and toggle on and off the Hidden Album

People who usually know about the hidden album can easily snoop into it. However, this option will ensure that no one stumbles into your private images.
Now go hide all your embarrassing photos and save the day. Want more tutorial? Search for them, you lazy human.
